The Lillie and Nathan Ackerman Lecture Series on Equality and Justice Presents: Immigrants and Services in NYC


This installment of the Lillie and Nathan Ackerman Lecture Series will follow the Immigrants and Services in New York City conference. The presentation is entitled, "Finding the Keys to Consensus on Immigration by Looking Ahead: Old Myths and New Realities."

Professor Dowell Myers will draw on the 2010 Census, actuarial data about the sustainability of our social safety net, and an intensive analysis of the language we use when we talk about immigrants, will make specific suggestions about how we can move past entrenched positions in the immigration debate and develop a comprehensive, consensus on immigration policy.
