National Numeracy Network


The National Numeracy Network (NNN) is a network of individuals, institutions and corporations united by the goal of quantitative literacy for all citizens. The theme of the 2012 annual meeting is "QL at Work: Navigating the Worlds of Journalism, Finance, Business, and Citizenship." The conference will run from Oct. 12-14 at CUNY. The Friday evening plenary session will feature Andrew Serwer, managing editor of Fortune magazine, as the keynote speaker. On Saturday, conference sessions will cover a number of different topics, including sessions from the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching on Quantway (http://www.carnegiefoundation.org/quantway), presentations from CUNY faculty about local initiatives to promote quantitatve literacy, as well as many sessions related to the conference theme.
