Sex Trafficking: An Emerging Issue in the Criminal Justice System


This lecture will explore the phenomenon of sex trafficking in New York City and throughout the United States. What is sex trafficking? What are the relevant laws? What is happening in the Criminal Justice system around this important issue? Presenter: Kate Mogulescu, Staff Attorney, The Legal Aid Society's Criminal Defense Practice. Ms. Mogulescu works with women who are victims of human trafficking to help them get a second chance and change their lives by working to vacate their convictions so they can find jobs.
