Webinar: Microsoft Access for Health Information Management (HIM) Professionals
In today’s fast-paced and demanding healthcare environment, using the Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) has become an essential component of every Health Information Management (HIM) Professional’s “Tool Kit”. HIM Professionals must know how to use these tools in an integrated fashion.
In the first of this three-part webinar series offered by the CUNY School of Professional Studies, participants will focus on the use of Microsoft Access to synthesize and analyze data. We will address the following essential aspects of data integration:
• Fundamentals of relational databases
• Conversion of data from Excel to Access
• Creation of simple and effective databases in order to:
• Monitor chart completion
• Administer provider suspension lists
• Track correspondence
• Demonstrate "one-to-many" relationships
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Access or Excel is not necessary.
Registered participants can receive the exercises and templates reviewed in these webinars, and can submit questions to be addressed both during and after the webinar.
This session provides 1 CEU in the Technology domain.
