Open Rehearsal with JKing Dance Company
Please join us for a free open rehearsal and Q&A with JKing Dance Company for a preview of Artistic Director Joyce King’s newest work-in-progress, School of Chairs, a dramedy choreographed for her all-female company. As King explains: "School of Chairs mirrors the hazard found in stepping away from routine, questioning rules and risking relationships, to expose an alternative look at what we are capable of." The company has been developing this new work from February - March 2018 at Brooklyn College as part of the CUNY Dance Initiative.
Joyce King/JKing Dance Company (JKDC), based in Brooklyn, NY, is an all female ensemble committed to developing works that promote diversity in perspective and strengthen self awareness through the vigor of contemporary dance and storytelling.
