Lehman Profesors Mary Carroll and Deirdre O'Boy will present "From Synge
to McDonagh: A Century of Violence, Language and Love." The talk will focus
on the intersection of violence, love, and the use of the language (Irish and
English).
Professor Janette Tilley of the Music Department will present a talk, titled
"Piety and Gender Relationships in Bach's Sacred Music." This presentation

Armando Rodriguez will lead the Lehman Big Band in "Big Band Broadway
Broadcast." The band will perform selections from the American songbook,
including popular tunes by Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Sonny Rollins,
Charlie Parker, and others.
The Bronx Business Development Center at Lehman College will host a year-
end tax planning and strategies workshop. Topics will include financial
planning for small business, paying minimal taxes and penalties, and more.
Professor Morris Lang will direct the Lehman Percussion Ensemble as they
perform compositions for chamber music ensemble made up entirely of
percussion instruments.
