Immigrants and Services in New York City
How are New York City institutions meeting the needs of its immigrant population? What are the most vital needs in the immigrant community? How do New Yorkers feel about immigrants in the City?
This day-long conference, co-sponsored by the Mayoral Office of Immigrant Affairs and CUNY, addresses these and a host of other issues with panels of distinguished academics and community leaders.
The conference will begin with the release of a new survey on the attitudes of New York residents toward immigration. We have a distinguished collection of scholars throughout the day, together with key representatives of local government and community organizations involved with immigrant services.
Panels:
• Survey Results: New Yorkers' Attitudes toward Immigrants, May 2011
