Great Thinkers of Our Time-Steven Pinker and Rebecca Goldstein

Take advantage of this rare opportunity to connect with brilliant speakers from the worlds of science, philosophy, psychology, and the arts with Hunter College's ongoing series, Great Thinkers of Our Time. This evening we welcome Steven Pinker and Rebecca Newberger Goldstein.

Steven Pinker is an experimental psychologist, cognitive scientist, and linguist. He is also the Johnstone Family Professor in the Department of Psychology at Harvard University and the author of seven books, including The Language Instinct, and most recently, The Stuff of Thought: Language as a Window into Human Nature.

Rebecca Newberger Goldstein is a summa-cum-laude graduate of Barnard College, a PhD in philosophy from Princeton University, and a MacArthur Fellow. Goldstein is the author of The Mind Body Problem, and her most recent Thirty-Six Arguments for the Existence of God: A Work of Fiction.

A question and answer session, plus a book-signing and reception will follow the lecture.
