Exploring Animal Minds-A Panel Discussion
Stuart Firestein, professor of Neurobiology and chairman of the Department of Biological Sciences at Columbia University, will moderate the panel discussion: Exploring Creative Minds. This is the second of five forums in the series, Exploring Animal Minds presented by Thinking Animals, Inc.
Covered this evening will be creativity, which includes the ability to solve problems, the use of intuition and the evidence of insightful perception to reach a solution. By these or any standards, many animals are indeed creative in their ability to achieve novel solutions to the challenges that are presented to themâ€"both in their own environments and in the unfamiliar ones presented by scientists.
We welcome panelists Marc Bekoff, Dorothy Fragaszy, Kevin McGowan, and Diana Reiss. A reception with food and drink will follow in the faculty lounge (separate ticket required).
$25 general admission-by phone or online ($30 at the door ONLY with check or cash), $15 for students, $35 for the reception. Bulk event and reception tickets for all 5 dates are available for $110 and $150 respectively. Purchase your tickets at
