The LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (LPAC) presents the story of the former rich owners of a Russian estate at the turn of the 20th century are faced with a terrible dilemma: they'll lose their estate and orchard unless they take some strong action to either save or sell it. Although there are many sad and affecting moment, one doesn't know whether to laugh or cry at the outrageous behavior of all the characters in Chekhov's beautifully observed human story.
