ABOUT ARTHUR CAPLAN:
Dr. Arthur Caplan is the Director of the Division of Medical Ethics in the Department of Population Health at New York University Langone Medical Center. Recognized as one of the pre-eminent bioethicists in the world, Dr. Caplan joined NYULMC in July 2012 from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, where he was the director of the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Bioethics, which he built into one of the premier programs in the world. He is the author or editor of 30 books and more than 550 papers in peer-reviewed journals and is the recipient of numerous honors and awards including the McGovern Medal of the American Medical Writers Association, the Franklin Award from the City of Philadelphia, and the Patricia Price Browne Prize in Biomedical Ethics.
Lecture will be held in Shepard Hall, room 95 at 4:00 pm.
