Budgeting Your Film – in person talk

banner for event

Besides your sample, your proposal or pitch deck - you need to have a budget for your film. Hear from producer/director Daphne McWilliams on how to get started, what you'll need to research and more.

Daphne will talk about budgets for short films, documentaries and low budget narratives and offer templates.

Daphne is a long time producer and director of documentaries. Her filmmaking journey began with music videos for artists like Blues Traveler, the Notorious B.I.G., and Queen Latifah. Notably, she produced the Academy Award-nominated documentary 4 Little Girls in 1995, directed by Spike Lee, highlighting the 1963 bombing in Birmingham, Alabama. Her most recent project, Boston (R)evolution is about to go on the festival circuit.

This will be in-person, at the City College of NY, Shepard Hall, Room 290, 259 Convent Avenue at 140th street. #1 to 137th Street, ABCD to 145th street (walk or take school shuttle @ 15 min) Light refreshments will be served.
